Empowering Ethical Leadership

We go beyond compliance, equipping students and institutions with the knowledge and mindset to lead in humane, responsible animal research.

What is the Laboratory Pig Module?

This self-paced, fully online module is designed for students and researchers working with pigs in controlled laboratory settings, rather than agricultural or farm contexts. The course meets EU Directive 2010/63 training requirements and covers species-specific welfare, husbandry, and scientific use of pigs in biomedical and translational research.

The module explores the relationship between good animal welfare and scientific integrity, and equips learners with the theoretical knowledge required to perform procedures ethically and effectively. Learning outcomes are aligned with EU education and training standards, including principles of surgery and humane methods of euthanasia.
