What is the Legal Module?

This online module is designed to meet the HPRA's legal training requirements for individuals whose qualifications predate 2013 or were obtained outside the Irish jurisdiction. It provides an essential overview of the Irish legal framework governing the ethical use, care, and protection of animals in scientific research.

Delivered online and assessed via a supervised exam, this module ensures researchers meet national compliance standards and are equipped to work responsibly and legally within Ireland’s regulatory environment.

Is this course self-paced?

Yes. This module is fully online, self-paced and can be started at any time.
